
Morocco hosts third meeting of the Assembly of Arab General Representatives

The Kingdom of Morocco, represented by the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor's Office, will host the third annual meeting of the Assembly of Arab General Representatives, which will be accompanied by the holding of an international symposium from 29 November to 1 December 2023 in Marrakech, in the presence of a number of General Representatives from Arab States and with high international participation.
The meeting, entitled "For a sustainable Arab judicial dialogue", will be held with the accompanying international symposium entitled "The efforts of Arab State prosecutors to combat corruption crimes: money-laundering, smuggling of migrants and trafficking in human beings - challenges and coercions".
Participation in the Meeting: General Deputies, Judges of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Member States of the Assembly: Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Sudan, Libya, Mauritania, Iraq and Yemen.
Participants discuss a range of topics related to enhanced cooperation, sharing of experiences and best practices and making recommendations that will strengthen joint efforts in combating money-laundering, smuggling of migrants and trafficking in human beings.
The International Symposium witnessed the participation of Arab general deputies' members of the Assembly, prosecutors, members of delegations from the judges of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the President of the International Association of Prosecutors, representatives of the United Nations Organization for Migration, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the European Union Agency for Judicial Cooperation in the Criminal Field, Eurojust.
The symposium seeks to make use of judicial cooperation mechanisms among Arab States in order to effectively combat all forms of crime, promote judicial dialogue and enhance communication among Arab State prosecutors for effective criminal justice, and strengthen prosecutors' technical capacities to combat crime, particularly in the fight against corruption.
